MEET OUR FOUNDER, SHAWN BESTER<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Shawn Bester, founder of Score4Soccer, brings over two decades of hands-on experience in youth soccer development in South Africa. A former professional player turned dedicated coach, Shawn has made it his mission to empower community clubs, coaches, and players to reach their full potential\u2014on and off the pitch.<\/span><\/p>

His coaching journey began in 1999, shortly after retiring from professional football. Starting at a local community club in Cape Town, he quickly became known for nurturing talent with integrity, passion, and purpose across both youth and senior teams.<\/span><\/p>

A pivotal opportunity came when Shawn joined the Ajax Cape Town Youth Academy\u2014one that opened doors to Europe. Between 2008 and 2010, he spent time on the pitch with elite teams at the Ajax Amsterdam Youth Academyin Holland, working with squads<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

from U12 to U21 (Jong Ajax \u2013 Reserve Team). \u201cThat moment changed everything,\u201d he recalls. \u201cI saw how structure and method could unlock world-class potential.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Deeply inspired by the Dutch development model\u2014renowned globally for producing intelligent, creative footballers\u2014Shawn returned home with a bold vision: to bring world-class coaching philosophies to South African soil. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to share those techniques used by the Dutch with coaches and players across Cape Town\u2019s Football Community.<\/span><\/p>

Today, through Score4Soccer, Shawn continues to coach, mentor, and ignite ambition in the next generation\u2014building a legacy of development that\u2019s local in heart, but global in standard.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
