Our soccer festivals are designed with families in mind, offering a safe, welcoming environment right here in the local community. Whether your child is just getting started, wants to sharpen their skills, or simply enjoys being part of a team, our events provide the right balance of play, development, and social connection. With opportunities for game time, skill-building, and plenty of fun, we support players from ages 7 to 12—novice to elite. As an independent coach mentor at Score4Soccer, I’m committed to supporting coaches at every level. Whether you're leading a grassroots team, mentoring players at a community club, or coaching at a more advanced level, our Coaching Clinics are designed with you in mind. Through practical, proven methods rooted in the Ajax Amsterdam Coaching Philosophy and Dutch Youth Player Soccer Development principles, our Coach Education Clinics offer an immersive experience focused on practical learning. Through expert instruction, interactive demonstrations, and real-time feedback, we empower coaches to understand and apply our proven methods. MEET OUR FOUNDER, SHAWN BESTER

Shawn Bester, founder of Score4Soccer, brings over two decades of hands-on experience in youth soccer development in South Africa. A former professional player turned dedicated coach, Shawn has made it his mission to empower community clubs, coaches, and players to reach their full potential—on and off the pitch.

His coaching journey began in 1999, shortly after retiring from professional football. Starting at a local community club in Cape Town, he quickly became known for nurturing talent with integrity, passion, and purpose across both youth and senior teams.

A pivotal opportunity came when Shawn joined the Ajax Cape Town Youth Academy—one that opened doors to Europe. Between 2008 and 2010, he spent time on the pitch with elite teams at the Ajax Amsterdam Youth Academyin Holland, working with squads

from U12 to U21 (Jong Ajax – Reserve Team). “That moment changed everything,” he recalls. “I saw how structure and method could unlock world-class potential.”

Deeply inspired by the Dutch development model—renowned globally for producing intelligent, creative footballers—Shawn returned home with a bold vision: to bring world-class coaching philosophies to South African soil. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to share those techniques used by the Dutch with coaches and players across Cape Town’s Football Community.

Today, through Score4Soccer, Shawn continues to coach, mentor, and ignite ambition in the next generation—building a legacy of development that’s local in heart, but global in standard.
